Challenge
There are many new sustainable materials, manufacturing systems, and processes that use fewer limited resources and lower the environment. However, many popular products still use basic packaging design principles and materials that waste resources or negatively impact ecology. Plastic waste, for example, can be recycled to different degrees depending on its composition. For example, PET in plastic bottles can be chopped up, melted down and reprocessed for other products, but EPS foam requires more complex processing (Greenpeace study). The main task is to redesign the packaging of a plastic product to improve its overall sustainability and ecological impact.
Solution
Improve the overall sustainability and ecological impact of jelly plastic packaging. The packaging design will be made of paper. This is a widely used environmentally friendly packaging. The raw material of writing is mainly natural plant fibre, which rots quickly in nature and does not pollute the environment. It can also be recycled to make paper. Redesign the jelly packaging appearance using the same fruit pictures to evoke people's love of jelly. The goal of surprise when opened is to harmonize the interior colour of each box with the exterior design, providing warmth. Together, we can reduce pollution to the environment and open up a whole new way of express packaging.
